SAMPLE Two Day Training Sample Agenda

7:30 - Check in  (coffee etc.)

8:00 - Start Time (can be 8:30 if you prefer)

• The changing role of  the professional school counselor
• The ASCA National Model: A Framework for School Counseling Programs
• Completing Program Audit

10:00 (or so) Break

• Take Training Pre Test
• Learn different types of data that can be collected (process, perception and results data; achievement, achievement related and standards and competency data)

12:00 Lunch

1:00PM   

• Creating Guidance Curriculum Action Plans
• Creating Pre-post tests for students
• Turn in Action Plans for review

END at 3:30?  Your decision - I’ll go to 4:00 if you want….. there is plenty to do.

DAY 2

7:30 - Check in , Coffee

8:00 - Start Time (can be 8:30 if you prefer it that way)

• Review Guidance Action plans
• Learn about using data to create Intentional Guidance/Closing the Gap Action Plans
• Creating Intentional Guidance Action Plans

10:00 (or so) Break

• Learn how to report results of your program using Flashlight Approach
• Creating and sharing advocacy tools for staff and school board presentations

12:00 Lunch

1:00PM   

§         1:00 Management Agreements (Use of Time/Calendars/Job Descriptions)

§         Take Taining Post Test and Q & A

END at 3:30 or 4:00 pm
